About me…

profile-photo-abhijith-webI am from Anantapur, India. I studied my Bachelors in Bioinformatics from Karunya University and did my Masters in Biomedical Engineering from VIT University, India. I was an intern for nearly 19 months in Skanray Healthcare Ltd, Mysore and then worked for 8 months as Product Specialist for Karl-Storz Endoscopic Company at Bangalore, India. Later I obtained a Master Degree in Biomedical Engg & Design with Major in Image Processing at École des mines de Saint-Étienne, France.I currently work as a Early Stage Researcher within the PACE network at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.

Why I joined PACE…

During my Masters I developed a strong research interest in Neuroscience. The PACE network came to my attention, as it had so many interesting research projects with inter-disciplinary fields and opportunities, including many researchers in different fields to come up with a solution for a better Healthcare System. The PACE seems to be perfect to learn expertise, new skills and gain research knowledge with various thematic workshops. I feel very lucky to be part of it.

My project…

My project is to Study the Behavioral and Functional networks in brain and to find out their relationships with different brain regions in aging population. With these Behavioral and Functional networks we try to explore brain connectivity in population with cerebellum volume loss and study its effects on human vision and movements.
